Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Process Piping Detailer to join our team. The Process Piping Detailer will be responsible for creating detailed process piping system designs and construction plans based on project specifications, codes, and standards. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers, project managers, Detailers, and other stakeholders to ensure process piping systems are designed and installed correctly and meet project requirements. They will also need to adapt to different companies shop standards and the General Forepersons preferences.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze project specifications, codes, and standards to create detailed process piping system designs and construction plans.
- Work with project managers and engineers to develop plans that meet project requirements.
- Ensure that all plans comply with local and state process piping codes and regulations.
- Coordinate with other trades (e.g., electrical, instrumentation, structural) to ensure all systems work together effectively.
- Review shop drawings and submittals to ensure accuracy and compliance with project plans.
- Create detailed material lists and specifications for process piping systems.
- Attend project meetings and provide input on process piping system design and installation.
- Provide technical support to project teams and field personnel as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of project plans and changes.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in process piping system design, drafting, or detailing.
- 5+ Years of Field Experience.
- Strong understanding of process piping codes and regulations.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or other process piping design software.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new process piping technologies and practices.
