LOD 100 - Conceptual
The Model Element may be graphically represented in the Model with a symbol or another generic representation. Information related to the Model Element can be derived from other Model Elements. Any information derived from LOD 100 elements must be considered approximate.

LOD 200 - Approximate Geometry
The Model Element is graphically represented within the Model as a generic system, object, or assembly with approximate quantities, size, shape, location, and orientation. Any information derived from LOD 200 elements must be considered approximate.

LOD 300 - Precise Geometry
The Model Element is graphically represented within the Model as a specific system, object, or assembly in quantity, size, shape, location, and orientation. Non-graphic information may also be attached to the Model Element. The project origin is defined, and the element is located accurately with respect to the project origin.

LOD 350 - Precise Geometry with Connections
LOD 350 The Model Element is graphically represented within the Model as a specific system, object, or assembly regarding quantity, size, shape, location, orientation, and interfaces with other building systems. Non-graphic information may also be attached to the Model Element.

LOD 400- Fabrication-ready Geometry
LOD 400 The Model Element is graphically represented within the Model as a specific system, object, or assembly in terms of size, shape, location, quantity, and orientation with detailing, fabrication, assembly, and installation information. Non-graphic information may also be attached to the Model Element.

LOD 500 - Operational/As-built Models
LOD 500 The Model Element is a field-verified representation of size, shape, location, quantity, and orientation. Non-graphic information may also be attached to
the Model Elements.

We can start a project as early as one week after the contract has been executed. We generally prefer two weeks.

We will have your estimates completed within three business days.

We encourage our clients to directly connect their field with our Detailers so that they can solve problems on the fly and go over any questions related to field conditions, spool sheets, shop drawings, Trimble/RTS points, coordination, or the BIM Model.

Yes. Our Journeymen Detailers come from the field and have completed a 5-year Union apprenticeship in their respective trades. We know how to Detail it because we have all worked with the tools in the field.

We are a Revit-based company. For clash detection and coordination, we use Navisworks Manage. We can join our clients Bluebeam Studio session to review submittals, specifications, or convey questions on the project documents to the EOR. We use BIM Collaborate Pro to publish our Revit models and post our NWC’s for coordination and consumption by other trades on the project. We also have experience with all third party add-ins to Revit that you may be running through your fabshop. Sysque, MSuite, and Stratus are just some of the add-ins we use.

All our leaders have gone through a Union apprenticeship and are Detailers in their respective trades, currently in good standing with their Union. We can go onsite to review field conditions and convey this to our Detailing team to accurately model the project.

ICON can put Detailers onsite as needed for each project. Added costs may apply.

We will only place Detailers on a project with the experience that the project requires. For example, we will not place a Detailer with only High-rise multi-family or Hotel experience on a semiconductor project. You can rest assured that the Detailer on your project will have the skill set necessary. If you need a Detailer with Process piping or BioPharma experience, that’s what ICON will provide.

Yes. Depending on the project need, we typically adhere to a 2 to 1 ratio of Journeyman to Apprentice on all our projects.

We can estimate projects on a Lump Sum or staff augmentation basis. For lump sum bids, our pricing is based on project type and the duration of coordination.
