After working in a few different industries, including some smaller construction jobs, Cory decided he was ready for a career. He joined the union in 2005 after his brother became a member and worked his way through to journeyman. With an interest in computer software and a degree in game simulation and programming, he quickly realized that detailing was the perfect combination of his construction experience and computer knowledge.
Figuring out how to streamline processes and make things work better keeps Cory motivated and interested in his work. He likes to identify pain points in processes and learn how to train people to overcome them. With his team, he tries to keep things light and fun. Projects can get overwhelming at times so there’s no point in adding any additional stress to the day-to-day if you don’t have to.
